Rapid change is a reality in today's outsourcing and new technology environment. Visibility ERP supports the entire span of "appropriate" change control; from simple revision audit tracking to tightly controlled change request/change notice procedures. 

Change control can be applied as needed to a selection of parts. BOM components, part field values, and part drawing links may be placed under change control.

Traceability

Some changes are tracked automatically while others can be specified by the business:

  • Part revision and BOM changes are tracked automatically
  • Engineering Change Requests require change authorization through the engineering management cycle
  • Engineering Change Notices require authorization through the business management cycle, where change-impact is evaluated by quality, materials, program management, sales, purchasing, and production.

Global Component Replacement

Specification of a part replacement automatically generates an Engineering change number for all affected assemblies.

Impact

Impact reports provide for easy identification of impacted field equipment, open sales orders, jobs in-process, stock and open purchase orders.
