Business Assessments

Book an Assessment

We come to your shop, watch how the work actually runs, and leave you a plan you can execute.

See how you actually run, not how the system was configured

Whether you have run Visibility ERP for one year or ten, or you are still evaluating it, a business assessment documents how your business actually runs: process by process, in the words of the people who do the work. Then it locates the gaps between that reality and what your systems can do, and turns them into an executable plan.

What the report covers

Executive summary and current state, process by process

Findings with causes named honestly: training gap, deployment miss, process decision, or product limitation

Recommendations for automation, workflow and reporting

KPIs with owners and a review cadence

Organizational readiness and role changes

A phased action register for both Visibility and your team

Tailored training programs

Documentation and remediation of spreadsheet usage, outside systems and workarounds

How an assessment runs

A pre-assessment questionnaire goes out weeks ahead, so on-site time is spent solving problems, not discovering them.

On site, we tour the facility and sit with each department for a day-in-the-life review: what do you do, how, and what gets in the way.

About half the value lands immediately: training, fixes, best practices and process changes implemented on the fly.

The other half becomes the plan: findings documented with causes, owners assigned on both sides, phased for cost and resource reality.

Follow-up sessions and Support carry the action list forward; the report keeps everyone honest.

Half the value is implemented before we leave. The other half leaves as a plan with names and dates on it.

An outside view of how the work actually runs

Every shop drifts. You went live, the team learned what it needed to ship orders, and the daily workload froze that knowledge in place. People built spreadsheets beside the system, workarounds hardened into procedure, and the ERP quietly became a system of record for decisions already made elsewhere. None of that is failure; it is what happens everywhere when nobody has time to look up.

An assessment is the look up. We watch the work as it is actually done, in the words of the people who do it, rather than against how the system was configured or how a process was designed years ago. Findings separate causes honestly: capability you already own but were never shown, something missed at implementation, a process decision that made sense at the time, or a genuine product gap, named plainly. The remedy differs entirely depending on the cause, which is why the report names causes instead of assigning fault.

About half the value lands while we are still on site: training and retraining, fixes, best practices and process changes implemented on the fly. The other half leaves as a phased plan with action items owned on both sides, yours and ours.

Common questions about business assessments

Is this only for existing Visibility customers?

No. Customers use assessments to get more from the system they already own, whether they went live last year or a decade ago. Prospects use them to get their processes documented and their gaps understood before making an ERP decision, and the report is theirs either way.

How long does an assessment take?

Most run a few days to a week on site, scoped to your operation, with pre-work in the weeks before. The pre-assessment questionnaire matters more than any other step: when your team documents ahead of time what they want to work better, the on-site days go to solving problems instead of discovering them.

What is in the report?

Current state process by process, findings with causes named, recommendations for automation and reporting, KPIs with owners and a review cadence, organizational readiness, and a phased action register assigning work to both your team and ours. It doubles as the cost justification for the event and the guard against sliding back into old habits.

What results have assessments produced?

Manufacturers have eliminated spreadsheet side systems, replaced triplicate manual timesheets with real-time labor reporting, recovered hours per week in requisition processing, and in one case cut inventory variance by 75 percent. The common thread is not new software; it is deeper use of what was already there.

What happens after the assessment?

The action register becomes the working task list: follow-up training sessions, items for Support, and where it makes sense, phased projects with professional services. Progress is reviewable against the report, which is the point of writing it down.

The assessment was very helpful in identifying where we can gain efficiencies by using delivered functionality as well as suggesting enhancements and deployment of additional modules that could further increase our operational efficiencies.

The Business Process Assessment redefined our use and functionality of Visibility. Sessions allowed us to brainstorm and evaluate new ideas, and then create practical strategies and plans for their execution. The Visibility team brought a wealth of experience and we were thankful to be able to work with them.

Danielle Guertin, VP Finance
Supreme International

We took the opportunity of the business assessment process which not only confirmed our thoughts that we could utilize the software more, but opened our eyes to see how much more the system had to offer. We now have a development roadmap in place for our business.

Supply Chain Director
KUKA Systems, Ltd.

Every employee that worked with the Visbility team was able to improve efficiencies and/or simplify tasks through a better understanding of Visibility and its functions. Questions or issues that people had just learned to live with, were instead raised and resolved.

Scott Rozanas, VP Finance
SGS Refrigeration

To have Visibility on site for a few days evaluating our business processes proved to be invaluable. An ancillary benefit is that our users greatly appreciated the commitment to optimizing our ERP system and Visibility's observations validated everyone's daily work effort and there were some quick hitting improvements that had a high impact.
