Planning During a Pandemic

By Kassi Burke

Depending on where you are in the world, we are about 5-6 months into the COVID-19 pandemic. In March I naively thought the pandemic would be “over” by now, but there are still many questions about when and how “the end” of this pandemic will come.

While searching for the best way to describe life during these difficult times I stumbled onto a quote by mathematician John Allen Paulos. He said, “uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.”

I, for one, love to make plans. Perhaps that’s why I love planning the annual Visibility Customer Conference so much. I know there have been many questions surrounding the event as the October 2020 date gets closer and today we have some answers for you.

In the spring when we postponed the event October 2020 looked like a definite possibility; today it does not. So while the world may not know when kids will be back in school or what the holidays will be like this year, we wanted to give our customers something they could plan on: October 2021.

The health and safety of our customers and employees is critically important to us. This event brings Visibility customers from across North America together for two full days of networking and learning. Taking into consideration CDC recommendations, we decided to postpone our event until October 20-22, 2021. Join us in the same location, the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, for VCC 2021!

Although there is much uncertainty, there is no shortage of inspiration. We are so grateful for the frontline workers who care for the sick, the manufacturers for continuing to make the products we rely on everyday, the grocery store workers that keep the shelves stocked, the parents that take on double duty as full time workers and full time childcare and teachers, and so many more. The challenge is great, but I have no doubt that we will rise to meet it.

While we are sad that we will not be able to come together this fall in San Diego, we cannot wait to see you next year at what is sure to be our best conference yet. Until then our thoughts are with you and your families – stay safe and stay healthy.

If you were signed up for the October 2020 event please check your email for updates. If you’d like to join us you can register here. Questions or concerns? Email us here.
