Visibility ERP system now fully touch screen enabled and browser independent.
ANDOVER, MA - April 30, 2014 - Visibility Corporation, the leading provider of ERP solutions for to-order manufacturers, has announced at its annual customer conference in Miami Florida that its entire VISIBILITY.net ERP application suite is now browser independent and completely touch-screen enabled. VISIBILITY.net now runs on Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers.
President and COO of Visibility Corporation, Jack Saint looks forward to the conference each year. “It gives our customers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with product experts, and allows Visibility to elicit input from clients in an effort to enhance the products and services offered. We are especially excited about 2015 ‘A Taste of Technology’, as it comes off a record setting sales year for Visibility.net. The VCC is vital to providing our customers with the personal experience that we take pride in and it is a great chance for us to listen to our customers in an intimate setting.”
“We are going mobile!” announced Visibility’s President and COO Jack Saint during an unveiling of its new release. “As an agile and adaptable software company, we have leveraged that agility to introduce a release that fully enables tablets such as Google android devices and Apple iPads to natively run every function, screen, report and transactions within the full VISIBILITY.net ERP suite,” he said. “This allows all users with access to ERP to run any function, be it field service, CRM, sales, financials, even MRP from the convenience of their tablet.”
The 9.2 release is available now and has been completely touch-screen enabled. “This release is a game changer as far as taking ERP anywhere. Our ERP can be run on the Cloud using smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktops and hybrid machines. We can be run in companies with Apple or Windows standard machines, all native. No need for compatibility modes or plug-ins. We did not just come out with a few functions – every single screen available in our entire product has been made available to the proliferation of new devices on the market today,” he added. “The days of seven year development roadmaps are over,” Saint said. “Technology is changing at a pace never seen before. Only agile companies that can make adjustments quickly will thrive in this new environment,” Saint added. “Slow moving elephant ERP companies will become a thing of the past. Just seven years ago smart phones did not exist, tablets were only imagined, and Google Chrome had not yet been released. Today, the vast majority of business people have smart phones, more tablets will be sold this year than laptops and desktops combined, and Google Chrome has emerged as the number one browser used world-wide. The ability of ERP companies to quickly adjust to the new technology is an absolute requirement for success,” Saint noted. “At Visibility, we pride ourselves in agility and awareness of trends.”
Manufacturers can use the new tablet enabled release to run reports from the airport, check status of sales orders from the road, access work orders on the shop floor, review updated KPIs while on vacation, record time and labor while on service calls, even review MRP purchase order recommendations while at a coffee shop.
“The new level of worker mobility is a competitive advantage to our customers and our customers will benefit immediately from this release,” Saint concluded.
